Sometimes its the smallest things that make the biggest difference. This especially holds true with our personal grooming. By maintaining our eyebrows, wearing appropriate makeup and keeping our hair styled we look polished and put together.
Here's a little reminder list for you. Here is a quick list of "beauty do's & don'ts"...
Don'ts:
- Don't fight curls
- Don't squeeze pimples
- Don't tan in the sun
- Don't cover freckles
- Don't over pluck
- Don't over-accessorize
- Don't let your hair go un-styled
- Do use SPF full spectrum sunscreen
- Do blend makeup
- Do exfoliate weekly
- Do have regular hair appointments
- Do sleep 7-8 hours
- Do drink plenty of water everyday
- Do use an eyelash curler
- Do shape brows and clean up strays
- Do wear a smile everyday!
How about Don't Tan in Salons, too! Tan in a can!
ReplyDeleteSo true Mrs. ...after 3 skin cancer surgeries for my DH, I've learned the only tan for me is one from a can!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, just the other day a woman in my exercise class said I had a "nice glow" to my skin. (I was wearing Jergens glow tan/lotion, LOL!)
I agree about the "little" things making a difference. On my "stay-at-home" days I'm tempted to leave off all make up, but I've found that if I just put on some mascara and lip gloss that it makes me smile more when I pass the mirror.
ReplyDeleteThank you visiting my blog and leaving the sweet comment about Mr. Fred Rogers. The more I read about the man the more I am in awe of his kindness and good deeds.

Hi Leslie! You're right on the ball - yet again! LOL Funnily enough, I had a lovely pamper the other night (I was alone for a full hour). One of the things I did was to dye my eyelashes (they're fading as I age...ha!) and then shaped them. Felt much more 'awake' when I looked in the mirror afterwards :)
ReplyDeleteHit the nail on the head lol reminds me that I need my brows done ooppss
