Giving Capris One Last Chance

If you been hanging around my blog/website since at least last summer, you've heard me mention my personal HATE for capris...over and over.

They have always made me feel a bit dumpy and so I had purged my closet from ALL CAPRIS!

Well, now I've gone and added these new ones in to my wardrobe! These chambray capris were purchased at my local Target...

What do you think?

Do you think these capris are keepers?

  1. Cute!! They're cut a little higher, like the length you recommended last year, than most cropped pants. And the matching heels really rock it!

  2. I think they're cute. I love capris as my legs are too heavy for "real" shorts, but I usually have to get mine hemmed up for my short little legs. I think they need to hit that sweet spot right between the upper curve of the calf and the knee. Then they are slimming. Too long and they look blocky, too short and they look like weird shorts. Yours are a perfect length.

  3. Yep! Because they're not too long. Just below the knee, and slim fitting. I think they're lovely. :)

  4. Go easy on those hate-capris comments! I used to rock shorts like nobody's business, but gravity finally won the battle with my knees and thighs. I couldn't bear to go through summer in pants all the time, and sometimes a skirt is just too much. I think your capris look perfect. I do agree that fit, length, fabric weight, etc. need to be spot-on for capris to really look good.

  5. i think capri's totally need just the right legs, and you've got 'em. :) i like those on you., shows just enough meat to look good. :) (and my meat i mean your calf muscle LOL) i like my capris to hit JUST above the calf, at teh bend in the knee. any longer and i look doofy.

  6. I think they are cute, but they appear to heat at your mid calf or is that just an illusion?

  8. I like seeing the print scarf with the stripe shirt. Not sure I would have been bold enough to try it, but it SO totally goes with all the colors!

  9. Did I learn my hatred of capris from you? It's quite possible. But they can be okay if you've got all the proportions right, as you do here. It just seems like a lot of work for "casual" wear. I probably won't buy any this year.

  10. I think they look great on you. You are lucky enough to have slim lower legs and these really highlight that pretty feature! I like that you brought the color from the top down to your shoes too. I say they are keepers!

  11. Thanks ladies for your feedback. I do think because the length is shorter (right below the knee) they are better proportionally for me. I think because they don't feel 'tight' or snug in any way...I started to wonder if I was looking 'sloppy'?

I sure feel best when I'm wearing a skirt or dress! I hate my peeps to think I'm not looking my best (of course we all have days like that)!

I hope y'all have a blessed weekend, whatever you may do! Love, Leslie
